New Moon in Sagittarius – December 6, 2018; 11:20pm PST
We’ve been going through some challenging times over the last year. That energy will continue through 2019 and 2020, but this New Moon gives us a bit of a break. First of all, Mercury moves out of retrograde and into direct motion on this day. This will help alleviate last minute Holiday hassles, especially those that involve travel plans.

Just before the Moon moves into position with the Sun to form the New Moon, it interacts strongly with the planet, Jupiter. This can produce wonderfully optimistic and enthusiastic energy that encourages us to see opportunities that are available and to expand our horizons. The New Moon occurs in the sign of Sagittarius and this is the sign most associated with ‘partying’. Jupiter is known as the planet of expansion and rules this sign, so be aware of the tendency to go overboard or to overindulge. Holiday cheer is a wonderful thing, but not when it’s taken to excess.

Jupiter and Sagittarius are symbolized by The Archer. It is highly creative energy and brings to us a call to expand our minds and our horizons; to live our lives more creatively. This New Moon is the perfect time to get out into nature, perhaps to travel or go on a spiritual adventure. This energy will stay with us for the next year, so if the opportunity arises to explore, go for it. If actual travel isn’t in the cards for you, then the energy can be used to travel inwardly by expanding your knowledge of metaphysical and higher consciousness subjects. This energy is potentially very positive and helps us to envisage a new life for ourselves. It brings the ability to manifest what we desire. Think about where you want to be by the end of 2019; geographically, physically, emotionally, spiritually. The New Moon is a time of New Beginnings so use the energy to let the Universe know what you want to bring into your life. In the process of manifestation, it’s important to remember that when you set a new intention for something you want in your life, the manifestation will always reflect the energy with which you created it. Keep your head in the right place. It’s vital that we all keep our vibration as high as possible as that determines what events and experiences come into our own personal reality, no matter what is happening in the outer world. If we can maintain the feelings of gratitude, appreciation, and love each day, the Universe will reflect that back to us. There is a lot of chaos out there right now and the more attention we give it, the stronger it will get. Energy follows attention, so learning to stay aware of what is happening in the world without emotionally engaging in it will benefit us all in the end.
The New Moon occurs at 15◦ of Sagittarius. Where this energy falls in your chart, is the area of life that is most open to manifestation at this time.
