New SuperMoon in Scorpio – November 14, 2020; 9:07 pm PST
Moving into November 2020 we experience a crescendo of energy and the onset of Eclipse Season. This has the potential to be an intense time and it’s important to look forward to the energy finally beginning to dissipate at the Winter Solstice in December. All transits eventually move on and 2020 will become 2021.

On November 3rd Mercury stationed direct. It will take a few days for the planet to pick up speed, but you’ll begin to see information flowing more easily. You may get answers, clarity, or insight that you’ve been searching for. If you’ve been putting off any planning or logistical types of things you can begin to reengage with that now.
On November 12th we have the third of three interactions between two powerhouse planets, Jupiter and Pluto both in the sign of Capricorn. This combination is a significant astrological aspect and is one of the signature events for 2020. The energy it brings is very representative of what has happened in 2020 regarding the global financial, societal, and governmental situations we’ve experienced, as well as how the pandemic has impacted these topics. This conjunction reverberates with the energy of the January 12th Saturn/Pluto conjunction and that can manifest as challenges and constraint. If we have another lockdown in this country, this is when it would happen.
As this is the final interaction for Jupiter and Pluto, it’s important to consider what has been learned, personally and collectively, since April 4th when the first interaction occurred. Jupiter and Pluto speak strongly of wealth and how the few control the many. As this aspect forms again, we may see some situations on the global and national fronts that blatantly show the disparity between the ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’.
The energy of this Jupiter/Pluto combination also affects each of us individually and though the aspect is exact on November 12th, its energy infuses the entire mood of November. Jupiter and Pluto together have a lot to do with history; understanding your past and how it has shaped you. This energy asks us to look back and clear some old baggage before moving forward. What is most strongly affected is your belief systems, faith, and philosophies. Questions come up about these concepts and there is the potential for new information that comes to you and helps you realize that some of those beliefs are outdated or just plain wrong. These may need to be set aside to make room for deeper understanding.
This energy also brings up issues of power and control. Personally, you may have situations occurring that help you understand how much power you do or don’t have in your life. This may also highlight a situation with a particular person and show the need to rebalance the power dynamic between you.
Jupiter combining with Pluto is a wealth signature so you may experience situations or issues connected to wealth and prosperity and how to bring that into your life. This is a good time to think about the areas of your life where you feel wealthy and give thanks for that, and also where you feel a lack of that prosperity or support. You may be asking profound and probing questions of yourself or someone else – digging into the foundation or roots of situations in your life. From a very practical level, this combination represents a major decision that looms in your life. Directly around November 12th you may be faced with a choice or opportunity where you must take a leap of faith. Pay attention to what is offered to you. Intensity and focus can really pay off this week so dig into things deeply and you will be rewarded.
Mars finally ends its retrograde on November 13th. This will be quite a relief and if you’ve felt stuck or frustrated throughout September and October, those feelings will start to dissipate. At the beginning of its direct cycle, Mars will be moving fairly slowly so we might not see a lot of improvement right away, but by December it will be full steam ahead.
Mars in Aries is about vision, the big picture of where you are going in your life. If your confidence has been eroded by the events of 2020, it will begin to return now. Actions and decisions will be well supported. We will get more of the full effect of this Mars energy once we get into December, but at least we can begin to look forward now.
Saturday, November 14th the Sun interacts with Pluto and Jupiter in a supportive way. This energy is about discovering your internal strength. There’s a quality of determination – being obsessed about something, but in a healthy way. Sun/Pluto is also about letting go of false personas and iterations of yourself that you’ve out grown or no longer serve your highest good. It’s also about being honest with yourself and bringing that honesty to a particular situation. With this energy we come into a closer relationship with our own depth and power and are able to use it in a way that is productive.
The Sun and Jupiter together in this way brings a sense of self-belief and trust. It’s a future-oriented aspect and is strongly about hope and optimism. It will clarify situations and help you figure out the most efficient and effective way to achieve your objectives. You will get a good sense of where you’re going and be able to develop a plan to get there. However, there may be a need to take a leap of faith or to step outside your comfort zone in order to grasp the golden ring.
On November 14th at 9:07 pm PST we have our third New SuperMoon in a row at 23 degrees Scorpio. Since this New Moon is ruled by Mars (now moving direct) this is a strong ‘new beginning’ energy and a time to manifest what you want in life. Because Scorpio energy wants us to dig deep and get to the bottom of things, we may feel unsettled as we look closely at what we have accomplished and where we still want to go. The Sun and Moon in Scorpio is intense energy so we are likely to feel passionately about what we want to manifest and that strengthens the process.
Scorpio is the only sign of the Zodiac that has two symbols. The scorpion shows the darker, deeper underbelly side of ourselves – our Shadow Side. The Phoenix represents our ability to rise above dark or challenging situations and to be reborn from the ashes. With this New Moon in Scorpio energy it’s important that we keep our heads in the right place. Remember that the less than positive can be manifested just as easily as the positive.
This New Moon interacts nicely with Jupiter which brings a boost to the energy. It’s a magical supportive vibe and if you focus on bringing prosperity into your life as one of your intentions, you may be pleasantly surprised at how easily it happens. If support is offered to you, accept it even though that may be hard to do. If you have extra, be willing to share with those you feel need the help. In your eagerness to move forward you may feel a bit impatient. If that happens see if there is something that needs to be resolved before you can move on to something new. If there are any situations that have been bugging you or bogging you down since August, the blocks surrounding these will break up now and you’ll be able to move those things forward. The initial progress may be slow, but it’s building so be patient. — Beth Lauderdale ~ Evolutionary Astrology
