Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Gemini – November 30, 2020; 1:29 am PST
On November 16th we have the most positive aspect of the month – Venus interacting with Jupiter. Expect some positive developments, welcome progress, exciting news or opportunities. It’s not perfect energy, but this combination does bring strong optimism regarding the future and a sense of prosperity connected to your life. It’s a feel-good time. However, there is a bit of a catch connected to this energy because it also brings the tendency to overdo or over-promise so be cautious of taking on too much. This can also bring the inclination to over-spend or over-indulge so just be aware of what is appropriate and don’t go overboard.
On November 17th Mercury interacts with Uranus. This is the third interaction in a sequence of three that have been recurring since early October. This final coming together is the climax of the story and may bring a conclusion to plans or situations that have been up in the air since October. It can also bring a mental shift or surprising information. It’s an ‘expect the unexpected’ vibe so stay flexible and be curious, your inquires may take you down an unexpected path that leads you to something quite extraordinary.
The most challenging aspect of the month is Venus square Saturn on November 19th. This is a reality check, particularly connected to your relationships – business and personal. Compromise or connection is desired but obstacles get in the way. This can be productive energy, but some effort will be needed to move things forward. This combination can bring discouragement or a heaviness. It can also be a time when you realize that you’ve taken on too much or the deadline for your project is too ambitious. It may require a change of plans or a compromise in order to fully accomplish what you’ve set out to do.
At the end of the week we have the serious and stabilizing combination of the Sun and Saturn. This is a great day for making solid plans or agreements that will be long-lasting. This is not airy-fairy energy. It’s substantial and has deep roots. Use it to come together with others that you can rely on or trust and discuss topics that have long-term implications. Clarity around priorities and boundaries can come out of this energy and that can help you get a better understanding of healthy limits or to tolerate some limitation or structure that will have a long-term payoff. It’s a mature energy and asks us to grow up and take responsibility for our lives.
November 21st, the Sun moves into Sagittarius. This is generally a very uplifting energy that brings optimism and is an excellent time to create a big-picture concept of the future. As a result of that you may be thinking about plans for next year, what is your image of that future and what will inspire and guide you. The Sun in Sagittarius this year is ruled by Jupiter in Capricorn and that can bring a sense of thoughtfulness. It is also involved with the South Node which can stir things up, so you might be thinking of a dozen different ideas for the new year or scattering your energy in other ways. Just be aware of that and try to tone it down. Pick a few things to focus on and prioritize them for successful forward movement in 2021. There is also an adventurous and restless quality to the Sun in Sagittarius. You may want to be more physically active during this time and that’s a good way to use the energy.
November 27th, Mercury combines with Pluto in a favorable way. Mercury is on a mission to investigate and to ask probing questions in order to uncover the truth that has been buried or hidden. This is an aspect of revelation so secrets may be revealed during this time. Personally, with this energy we may be obsessively curious or determined to get to the bottom of a situation. There can also be situations where others tell you their secrets.
On Saturday, November 28th Neptune in Pisces stations direct. Whenever a planet stops its forward or backward motion, the energy of that planet is intensified. Neptune, especially in Pisces, is the most spiritual energy that we deal with in astrology so with this change in direction there is the potential for some profound spiritual and intuitive insights. You might feel a bit more tired or overwhelmed for a couple of days around this directional shift. If that’s the case, give yourself permission to rest, to meditate, spend time in nature, take a bath, or walk along the waterfront. Be sure to pay attention to downloads and dreams, there may be a message that Spirit is trying to deliver to you.
November 30th at 1:29 am PST, we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 8 degrees of Gemini. This is the first eclipse for this season. It’s a partial eclipse, but still brings significant energy. Full Moon’s always represent completions, culminations, or closures in the area of the chart where the energy falls. They also shine a light on what has been kept hidden or ignored. A Full Moon like this also heightens the emotions and they can fluctuate wildly. As a result, you may shift between highs of feeling very positive about things and lows where you can’t quite see how a situation will work out or how you can attain your goals.
This lunation is ruled by Mercury which interacts with Saturn on November 30th. This is about truth and clarity. It’s about finally figuring out what’s been bugging you. With this energy you may solve a puzzle or unravel the mystery around a situation that you thought was unsolvable. This will show you what is and isn’t possible in connection to that situation. With Mercury and Saturn interacting in this way, it’s time to make a decision and commit to something. Speak your truth clearly and follow through with what you say.
Gemini is very inspired energy so spend time exercising your creative muscles during the Full Moon. You may feel scattered, distracted, or be pulled between two intriguing choices but this will add to your creativity so just go with the flow and see what happens. The addition of North Node energy to this Full Moon can manifest as an insatiable hunger for more – more food, more information, more interaction. The answer isn’t more, it’s in managing yourself in the craving for more. If you feel this way, it’s important to think about what that hunger represents.
There are two sides to this energy; one where we have a heightened level of awareness and one where we suffer from increased anxiety as a result of too much uncertainty. Anything that brings your attention to the lower part of your body will be a good remedy for this intense and fractured energy. Grounding, tactile sensation, time in nature, or an Epsom salt bath will help relieve any free-flowing anxiety you may experience.
We continue to experience a huge evolutionary shift so try to put your focus on the new rather than letting your thoughts be dragged down by the old. We always have a choice between the mental chatter of the mundane or the higher perspective of listening to direction from Spirit. What will you choose? — Beth Lauderdale ~ Evolutionary Astrology
